Color your world... One stroke at a time

Thinking back to my childhood, one of the things that I enjoyed painting were rainbows. As a matter of fact, it seems that all children have a slight obsession with these beautiful God created manifestations of color. Why is it that we lose our love of color as we get older? Don't you remember some of your favorite clothing items from when you were growing up? I can guarantee that they were not black or white. We for some reason as we climb the ladder of age create monotone wardrobes that consist of very little color. Now, do not get me wrong, I personally do love black and white and they are staples in my wardrobe. However, color is a great way to to add style and flare to a rather boring closet. Now let's not have an anxiety attack as you read this because you are one of those people who have a closet full of black and grey clothes. Black and grey are great, I have plenty of clothing items in those two hues, however they do not make up my whole entire set of garments. If the idea of buying a red blouse or a green skirt puts you in a state of nervousity, don't worry, you can start small. Accessories are the best way to implement color into a one note wardrobe. Go with a great statement necklace, bright shoe, or bag. This will allow you to experience color in a way that will not be overwhelming, but will allow the world to see that you are current and chic! Style tip- If you are not sure what colors to start with, go with the colors of the season. In the fall, stick to the burnt oranges, wines, olives and metallics. In the summer, choose the bright yellows, greens and jewel tones. God created four distinct beautiful seasons, let them help you to color your world. Take it one stroke at a time and I guarantee before you know it you will be implementing sweaters, blouses and skirts in no time. Go for it, you will be so happy that you did!
