I have to admit that I am very late to the party when it comes to the Beauty Blender makeup sponge, but as they say, better late than never! I have tried many different applicators and brushes and though I still love my foundation brushes, this sponge is pretty darn special! The shape for one thing is genius as it allows you to get into all of the corners of your face like around your eyes and mouth effortlessly with the pointed end. The rounded end and sides are great for smoothing and evening out your foundation for a flawless even application without demarcation lines. I purchased two sizes, the medium and the mini which I thought would be great for applying my concealer and buffing away excess eye makeup when needed. They are so attractive with their bright colors, but the best and most important quality for me is that it does not soak up all of the product. I usually stay away from sponges because I find that they absorb more of the product and less goes onto my face. This is not the case with the Beauty Blender. The foundation is picked up by the sponge, but it transfers right onto your skin where the product should be. If you are someone who uses a loose powder, I would not say that this is the product for you as it works best with liquid and cream foundations. If you are in the market looking for a great tool for applying your foundation that will give you beautiful even application, this is the product for you. Those of you who currently use the Beauty Blender of those who are going to try it, do let me know your thoughts as I would love to hear your stories and experiences!
