Kissable Lips For All Seasons

Is it just me or do you find that your lips are not just dry during the winter months? Now, I like most people tend to experience the typical peeling sometimes cracked lips when the weather turns cold, but it does not always stop there. I have noticed that even during the warmer times of the year, I am still dealing with my lips not being as smooth or as soft as I would like for them to be. Well, that was before I started to use a few products on my lips on a regular basis.

Years ago, I discovered the Mary Kay Triple-Action Lip Enhancer thanks to my dear friend Margo who introduced me to it. I told her that I did not enjoy wearing my lipsticks and glosses because my lips were peeling all of the time. She said that she had the perfect thing for me and perfect it was! This product leaves your lips smooth without feeling greasy. It actually makes them soft and creates the perfect canvas for you to add your lip color . It is essentially a primer for your lips, so it also helps to keep your lipstick locked in place. I would not say that it gives your lipstick or glosses an extended wear, but I find that my lip colors adhere better to my lips when used. I use the Triple-Action Lip Enhancer as a third step to my lip regimen, there are a couple of other products that I use before this one to achieve my kissable lips.

Exfoliating is something that is great for your face and body alike. You need to make sure that you get rid of the impurities and dead skin that can cause build up. The same goes for your lips, especially if your lipstick is flaking off or your lips are peeling. There are several different recipes out there for creating your own lip exfoliator, but I love the e.l.f. Studio Lip Exfoliator. This product works great to gently exfoliate your lips to remove the dry chapped skin. I love the packaging as it takes the shape a tube of lipstick and the actual product is in the form of a lipstick which makes for easy and clean application. You can feel the sugar crystals as soon as your start to move the product across your lips. It also smells heavenly, like brown sugar or maple syrup, both delicious if you ask me! This product is also super affordable as it sells for $3.00 on the e.l.f cosmetics website (www.eyeslipsface.com). When you find it you may want to stock up as it seems to always be sold out!

The last product that I swear by is the Nivea Lip Butter that comes in a very cute sleek pot. This lip butter is offered in a variety of flavors, but my favorite is the Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss. I find that it is very moisturizing without feeling overly greasy or being too shiny. I am a very big fan of Nivea products because I find that they always do what they say that they are going to do, plus I grew up on them. After I exfoliate my lips, I like to follow up with my Nivea Lip Butter and then finish up with Mary Kay Triple-Action Lip Enhancer. Some may say that this is three steps too many, but I am an advocate for sticking to what works and I find that for me, this is what works.

If you too feel that your lips are not as kissable as they can be, give this a try. You may find that you only want to add one of these products to your beauty regimen and that is fine. It is about tweaking and creating a system that works for you where you feel you can develop consistency to keep your lips kissable the whole year long!
