Before an artist can paint a remarkable painting, it all starts with a clean and smooth canvas. From there the sky's the limit as far as what they can create. Well, I am sure that you have heard before that the same can be said about your face. If you are like me and love makeup, you want nothing more than to have a beautiful complexion to start with. My skin is no where near perfect, but I can say that it has improved over the last year or so. I am always on a constant mission to find new and great products for my face that will either correct an issue or proactively prevent one from starting. I am no longer that person that gripes about spending a little bit more when it comes to my skin products because I feel that I am investing in me. About a year ago, I learned about Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics (www.lushusa.com) when I was looking into skin care. I watched some testimonials and decided to try a few of the products for myself. I have to say that I absolutely LOVE them! I am by no means one of those people who just have to have products that are all natural, but I always keep an open mind. I do feel that it is a win/win type of situation if I can find something that works and it is good for my skin because the ingredients are all natural. This is definitely the case with Lush products. The packaging is also super cute and it comes with a cartoon like picture of the person who packaged it, when they packaged it and when it will expire. There are three products in particular that I use and really think are awesome!
I am one of those people that just don't feel like my face is clean unless I use a product that lathers up. I am not partial to any particular form as it can be a liquid or a bar of soap. Lush has a Coalface Cleansing Charcoal Bar that for me has worked like a dream. I love the smell and I find that it leaves my face feeling clean and smooth. This bar will run you just under $14.00 and I find that it lasts for quite a bit of time, I use mine down to the last crumb. It has an exfoliator aspect to it and it is geared towards those who have combination to oily skin which is me all day long. Lately, there has been a big influx in the beauty world as far as coal facial products so, there are some inexpensive variations on the market right now. Bioré has a bar and liquid cleanser option available in Target, Walmart and Walgreens. Depending on what you are looking to spend, you do have some alternatives out there.
I love a good scrub for my face especially for my nose and surrounding areas where pores can be ever so pronounced! The Ocean Salt Face & Body Scrub is a winner for me. It has avocado, coconut and vodka that actually works as a toner and deep cleans. It smells refreshing and gives you a good scrub without feeling like you are ripping off your skin as some scrubs can do. It has fine and coarse sea salt in there and a little product goes a long way. I use this scrub once a week and I feel I have achieved really good results since adding it to my regimen. There are two different sizes that are available the 4.2oz and the 8.2oz, the price ranges with sizes from $21.95-$35.95.
The final product is the Mask of Magnaminty Face & Body Mask. I really enjoy using a mask once a week, particularly at the end of the week to wind down. I feel that is a great way to wash away all the stress and gunk that has settled into my skin for that week. This mask has pepermint in there so, it tingles and really goes deep down to remove the built up dirt that is sitting in your pores. This mask like the scrub comes in two sizes the 4.4 oz and 11.1 oz where the price ranges is from $12.95-$24.95.
There are several other products that available from this brand, but these are the ones that I currently use and are really working for me. If you are in the market for some new facial products, give them a try and let me know how they work out for you. If you have tried some other products from Lush that you really like, let me know your testimonial, it may be something that I will want to add to my current line up.
