Bejewel My Heart

Who does not like a little sparkle here and there? I know that I do!! I just adore having an embellished detail on a shoe or a jacket that just takes that piece to the next level. This is how I feel about my recent shoe purchase, they are just adorbs!!! It was quite the struggle for me to decide on what color to go with as they have three color choices: pink, blue or black/white, all super cute of course. I opted for the pink and I am so glad that I did, I don't have anything like them in my shoe collection. I purchased these beauties called Libry from Sole Society and they really have some great looking shoes on their site right now ( www.solesociety.com). I have been feeling the flats lately which is shocking after rejecting them for so many years. You see, I am a size 10, so I have always felt that they made my feet look even bigger. Now, I am all about the flats, they are comfortable and can add an effortless chic to your ensemble. Yesterday, was a very laid back day with my husband and we were going to walk one of the outdoor strip malls, so comfort was important. I took all of this into account as I put together my outfit for the day which was both simple and classic.

The white shirt or blouse is always a great way to look pulled together with minimal effort. It is timeless and goes with just about everything, so pairing it with a bottom is very easy and leaves you with ample options. I pulled out my white blouse that has gold button details and a band uniform feel to it. I went with my torn jeans for this outfit because to be totally honest, I just can't get enough of them! They are edgy and kind of rock and roll which is such a juxtaposition with the very preppy shoe and blouse which I love! My accessories were not too fussy as I went for my medium sized gold hoops and gold watch. I chose to go with a beige, black and cream tri colored clutch bag from Primark with gold zipper details that completed the outfit. I wanted to make sure that I did not go with anything that would compete with my shoes as they were the lead actress here!

As you go out shopping or peruse the websites looking for that great new addition to add to your closet, think about adding a little sparkle. Now, I am not saying that you need to buy several items so that you will look blinged out, just one piece or two that you can work into what you already have, but giving them a new spin or a refreshing twist. If you have an item that you are just loving right now, do share as I am always wanting to hear about great finds.
