February and March thus far have been an absolute whirlwind! With the celebrating of my birthday, trips to Chicago and Punta Cana, plus taking in the Rihanna Anti World Tour experience, I have been moving at the speed of light. Of course, with all of this fun came some fashion, beauty and extras that I loved!
It is no secret that I am totally obsessed with the boscia skin care line. This is a line that was created for oily acne prone skin and though acne is not an issue for me, oily skin is. I am learning to embrace the oil from the aspect that it keeps skin soft and youthful, but I do not want it to be the first thing that people see. I tried the boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel and it has really been great at removing the dead skin in a very gentle fashion that does not irritate my skin. This was very good for my skin with the of travel that I did over the last two months with the climate changes and skin protection products used. The Sake Balm has been the truth for moisturizing my skin. The gel like consistency nourishes my skin without being greasy and has really given radiance to my skin. It promises to firm the skin as well, so I will definitely keep using to test those results. I also decided to try the boscia Balancing Facial Tonic since I have been a huge fan of the Clear Complexion Tonic. The Balancing Tonic had given my skin hydration in a way that is light and fresh. I have seen a huge improvement in texture and complexion of my skin since using the boscia range.
The NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is a great addition to my foundation rotation. It has an air light whipped consistency plus the SPF takes the flawless look and gives protection to the skin. In hotter climates I still prefer my MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation as it stands up to the heat very well and will have people complimenting your skin and not your foundation.
Every woman should have her own signature fragrance, or a few for that matter. I am still in love with Flower Bomb, but I have to say that Thierry Mugler Alien has been a great addition to my scent collection . It is warm and sexy and oh so feminine. I see why so many Parisian women adore this parfum. When I wear this perfume I am always told how great I smell and questioned on what I am wearing. If you are late to the party like I have been with this scent and in the market for something new, definitely give this one a try!
Who doesn't love a great T-shirt? Target has some of the best t-shirts and muscle t’s that are sure to make your spring and summer wardrobes. I took a few of them with me to Punta Cana and people just loved them. Most of them are all over Instagram. My favs have been the You Me Oui and Nama-Stay In Bed Graphic Tees. They are super cute, great with distressed denim or over a bathing suit. They are extremely lightweight and are in very neutral colors, so they are very easy to accessorize with.
H&M always has great fashion at very affordable prices. While I was in Chicago, there was a dress that caught my eye in the storefront window. This patterned maxi dress with a lacing up detail in the front was gorgeous and I knew that it would be great on an island. It looked like the island without looking gimmicky and typical. The high slits on the sides made it very cool which was good in the warm temperatures. This dress was both beautiful and functional.
All white parties always make for a fun and beautiful occasion. Pictures are always pretty and the cohesiveness is very picturesque. The major struggle is wanting to make sure that you do not show up in the same ensemble as someone else. I have to say that the Eliza J Bell Sleeve Fit & Flare Dress was an absolute winner for me. It is girly and very whimsical and photographed very well. Nordstroms has a wide selection of gorgeous white dresses and jumpsuits for any occasion that you have in upcoming spring and summer months.
I am constantly in search of a product for my lips that is both moisturizing and nourishing that will prevent peeling. After watching a few YouTubers talk about the Dior Addict Lip Glow, I decided to try it for myself in Lilac. It is definitely not the cheapest lip treatment, but this balm will enhance your natural lip color while adding moisture and protecting them with an SPF of 10. It has a cool tingly mint sensation once applied that feels really good on the lips. It also gives a great shine and would be great on top of any lipstick to add a little lustre.
March is not quite over, so I am sure that I will have a couple more favorites to talk about, but I will save them for next month. I would love to hear about any fashion or beauty items that are making you swoon right now, so do share!
XOXO Andréa
